Most, if not all, of the major car rental companies (e.g. Hertz, Avis, National, Enterprise, etc.) offer 2door and 4-door cars with hand controls. Some rental companies in Las Vegas maintain vehicles permanently equipped with these assistive devices, while others install and remove the equipment as needed. In many cases, cars equipped with hand controls may be obtained on short notice (within 24 hours or less); however, advance reservations are advised whenever possible to ensure availability. Liftequipped vans are generally not as readily available as adapted cars; the following listing provides information on vans available for rent. In all cases — when renting a car or van — the driver should supply his or her own disabled parking permit, as the rental companies do not provide disabled plates or placards.
