Designed to enhance the quality of life for CSHCN and their families through increased access to services and by developing resources for innovative treatment and expertise. Working together to support CSHCN’s development of suitable self-sufficiency skills for their adult life.
The CSHCN Program assists in helping families identify medical conditions in their children such as PKU, diabetes, seizures, cardiac conditions, etc. and offers financial assistance for children from birth to their 19th birthday that have medical needs for specific conditions. CSHCN staff provide advocacy for financial coverage and support specialty clinics statewide that provide free medical consultation for children. Additionally, CSHCN provides medical nutritional therapy.
