To receive personal care assistance services, you must be a resident of Nevada, physically disabled as diagnosed by a licensed physician, be capable of supervising the attendant who provides the care and require no more than 28 hours of essential personal care each week (from this program) in order to live independently. Staff assists with the elimination of wastes from the body, dressing and undressing, bathing and grooming, preparation and eating of meals, getting in and out of bed, repositioning while asleep, the use of prostheses and other medical equipment, moving about to include transfer activities, ambulation and range of motion exercises. Target population: physically disabled adults.
