The Bureau of Services to the Blind & Visually Impaired is a bureau of the state's Rehabilitation Division, Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR). The bureau offers a variety of services to eligible individuals whose vision is not correctable by ordinary eye care. Services include adaptive and mobility training, low vision services (exams and aids), daily living skills training, and vocational-related services (including vocational rehab and a business enterprise program), Independent living services are also available to individuals who do not wish to maintain employment or return to work. Target population: 16 years and older.

• Most services are free, or charged on a sliding scale
